My emails are now automatically filtered into different locations: Primary Inbox, Promotions and Social. This means I sometimes miss emails that are filtered into the Promotions and Social. have resolved the problem by restoring my traditional inbox, but if you would like to keep your Promotional and Social boxes, you may find the following tips helpful:
The messages that I send you might end up in your Promotions box. This can make them easy to miss. If you are not having this problem then you can keep the inbox as it is. Or you can follow the steps below to get your traditional inbox back.
This is how you can to permanently move emails from me into your Inbox from your Promotions box:
- Click on the “Promotion” tab.
- Find one of my emails and drag it to the “Primary” tab.
- A pop up will ask you “Future message from firstname.lastname@example.org will be moved to Primary.”
- Click on “yes” when this alert pops up. This will confirm the switch.
You can permanently get rid of the segmented tabs and go back to traditional inbox by going to the “Settings” tab at the top right of your screen. Click and scroll down to “Configure Inbox.” Then you can choose how you want your inbox to look.
It’s as easy as that! If you have any further questions please me know by contacting me at the address above.
